Use Twitter Cards For Higher Engagement

Twitter posts with pictures get 18% more clicks than simple text-based tweets, according to recent data. Many businesses find that using Twitter cards not only increases user engagement, but it also gives them a way to share information with consumers without packing it all into 140 characters. Twitter cards can be added to tweets or can be utilized as the entire tweet. You simply add the card into your tweets and consumers can click on them, and even add their email information to them. This is a great way to really utilize the power of Twitter for small and medium-sized businesses.

Try Out Facebook Graph Search

Facebook made a recent announcement about penalizing low-quality content, and it just came out with more great news. Graph search is a weird addition to Facebook that a lot of people weren't too thrilled with at first, but Facebook has made some changes. Instead of simply allowing users to search for “people named [John] in [San Francisco],” users can now search using hashtags. With this type of search, all posts, both old and new, utilizing that hashtag will show up, which allows users to click on the link and follow the page if they like. For marketers to really utilize these new search features, it is important to add URLS and links to posts and to create evergreen content that utilizes commonly searched Hashtags. The search isn't perfect yet, but it's getting much better.

Jazz Up Your LinkedIn Profile

LinkedIn probably isn't the social media outlet you think of when you think about advertising, but, as a professional platform, it is growing exponentially. More people are using LinkedIn to learn about companies and brands they are interested in or would consider using in the future. It has taken some time, but LinkedIn has now given members the ability to jazz up their LinkedIn profile with a background image. To utilize this tool to your advantage in marketing, upload a background picture that shows off your passion and spirit or utilize your brand logo so you are easily recognizable to the people visiting your page.
